Senior Software Engineer (MES Integration)

Reporting into Digitalization Project Engineering Manager, this is an opportunity for an experienced software professional with proven experience in MES API integration, C#, SQL and Python programming, to join an industry leading laser technology company to help maintain and improve existing products/systems

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering /Information Technology /Computer Science or equivalent with 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience, including developing and deploying automation solutions in manufacturing environment
• Proficient in query/SQL language
• Image processing algorithms and smart vision technology will be advantageous
• Proven experience in C# and Python programming
• Good expertise in MES API integration, with in-depth understanding of API design principal protocols
• Good understanding of MES, IoT, Power BI visualization
• Prior project management experience in delivery of complex automation projects advantageous
• Excellent interpersonal skills with good verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-directed and able to work independently with little or no direct supervision.

• Design, implement and maintain Database structures (MySQL, MS SQL etc) to meet application requirements
• Ensure the normalization and efficiency of database schemas
• Design, develop, and implement API integrations between MES and other manufacturing systems with C# and Python programming languages
• Ensure smooth data flow and communication between MES and related applications for real-time information exchange.
• Develop and deploy IoT solutions for collecting and analyzing data from connected devices, contributing to data-driven decision-making.
• Ensure seamless data connectivity for Power BI visualization through APIs
• Utilize expertise in C#, SQL, and Python to develop robust software applications for automation & AI/Machine Learning
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement software solutions that enhance manufacturing processes
• Provide technical support for deployed automation systems.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to maintain system reliability
• Lead and manage end-to-end automation projects, ensuring timely delivery and meeting project objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, goals, and deliverables. - Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Collaborate with internal teams and solution providers to implement advanced technologies, including robotic automation and smart vision systems
