The Content Services Gaming team is looking for talented Senior Software Engineer to help build the next generation of gaming experiences on Microsoft Start and Smash.gg. You will have opportunities to work with many teams across Edge, Windows, Xbox, Bing and other divisions to develop innovative and exciting solutions for our users and partners. You will be involved in developing code in multiple layers including web UX, service end points, middle tier workflows, and data layers.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
• OR equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of engineering experience owning feature design, development, releasing and sustaining.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 6+ years of engineering experience owning feature design, development, releasing and sustaining
• Experience with the following technologies: React, HTML, CSS or equivalent
• Familiarity with large scale service development, testing and deployment
• A demonstrated ability to ship high-quality software on time
• Ability to work closely and collaborate independently across a feature team
• Ability to quickly adapt to new areas and gain in-depth knowledge when required
• Passion for product excellence
• Interest in gaming & esports is a plus
  Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $108,100 - CAD $199,700 per year.

• Work with engineers, product managers, designers, and partner teams to deliver a set of features with the right overall design and architecture.
• Own and deliver complete features across the development lifecycle, including design, architecture, implementation, testability, debugging, shipping, and servicing.
• Write clean, well-thought-out code with an emphasis on quality, performance, simplicity, durability, scalability, and maintainability.
