We are on the lookout for software engineers to lead the technical development of state-of-the-art software supply chain security products at Azure.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and building products and solutions for strengthening the software secure supply chain security in the cloud-native ecosystem. You will be collaborating with other engineers to create designs and getting buy-in from the rest of the company and open-source communities like Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) and Open Source Security Foundation (OpenSSF). This position requires strong collaboration across team and organizational boundaries.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• You have 6 - 10 years + of software engineering experience. You need to be confident in your ability to tackle ambiguous problems, own projects end-to-end, reason about performance and reliability, and produce quality code.
• 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Python or Go
• Desire to work in open-source, communicating with both team members and open-source contributors asynchronously via GitHub, Slack, and regular community meetings on Zoom.
• Strong experience writing Golang, and/or Ruby applications.
• 5 - 8+ years experiences with containers, container security and software secure supply chain ecosystem.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

• Experience working with software supply chain security build attestations, such as SBOMs and provenance, is a plus.
• Experience with one or more Linux packaging solutions (such as apt, apk, yum, or others) are a plus.
• Experience with dependabot or other dependency management systems is a plus.
