Senior Software Engineer for Windows Development using Delphi and C++
Summary of Role: We are seeking an experienced Windows Delphi Developer to join Nasuni. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable practical expertise in Delphi and C++. As a Windows Delphi and C++ Software Engineer, you will play a key role in the development of enterprise software which delivers remote file access to offices and remote/hybrid workers across the world. This Windows Developer role can be a remote or hybrid role on a European Timezone.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Technologies:
• Delphi and C++.
• QT
• Development experience with Windows 10 and Windows 11.
• Git version control.
• Previous development experience producing enterprise client software.
• Demonstratable knowledge of software delivery and installation approaches in corporate environments.
• Experience performing software test automation and code quality checks.
• Experience explaining complex issues across business departments in clear and concise ways.
• Previous experience working with Web-based APIs in your Windows applications.
• Working in an Agile team.
• Use of JIRA for SDLC tracking.

BENEFICIAL EXPERIENCE:

• Virtual file system experience (CBFS or Fuse).
• Microsoft Cloud Filter API.
• Experience working in VDI environments like Citrix or Azure.
• GitHub ecosystem
• CI / CD pipelines (ie. GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc).
• Windows Explorer Extensions / Shell extensions.
• Knowledge of anti-virus / anti-malware applications.
• Network request tracing and debugging.

• Design, develop, and review complex software code in Delphi.
• Design, develop, test and deliver on a new modernised software stack providing remote file access using Microsoft’s Cloud Filter API.
• Testing of all output using common test automation patterns.
• Engage in code reviews of other developers work to maintain consistency and quality of code.
• Troubleshooting and debugging in an effective manner.
• Produce and maintain documentation of software relating to the design, implementation a and test coverage.
• Collaborative work with engineering management and product departments to guide and steer product roadmaps.
• Engagement with technical support groups to aid delivery of customer support where required.
• Support the maintenance and upkeep of an existing software application that provides in-office, remote and hybrid file access to enterprise customers’ end-users globally.
• Work collaboratively with a Software Engineering team distributed across Europe.
