JOB SUMMARY:

Raytheon Our team in Richardson, Texas (Cityline) is currently seeking a Sr. Software Engineer/Java Developer to join our world-class engineering team.
This position is an onsite role for Richardson, Texas (Cityline)

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Typically requires Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 5+ years of engineering experience.
  • Experience with Java Development
  • Experience with Agile and DevSecOps toolsets (e.g. Jira, Confluence, BitBucket, Jenkins, Cucumber, etc.)
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Active Top Secret/SCI with CI Polygraph
  • Security+ Certification
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies
  • Experience with DevSecOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery
  • Experience with AWS Cloud Technologies
  • Experience with building automated tests
  • Proven problem solving and analytical abilities.

    The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES TO ANTICIPATE:

  • Use your solid foundation in Java and experience working in a Linux environment to comprehend customer needs and translate those needs into viable design solutions.
  • Use your understanding of software principles, theories, and concepts related to software engineering (including software development lifecycle and software development process), design patterns, and Object Oriented architecture.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking skills with the ability to communicate concepts and ideas well.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain SCI program access.
