ABOUT THE ROLE

At Dremio, we’re passionate about revolutionizing data analytics. Our platform empowers organizations to access, analyze, and derive insights from their data lakes, data warehouses, and other data sources. In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of building cutting-edge technology that drives efficient and lightning-fast query execution. Your work will directly impact the performance, scalability, and reliability of Dremio’s data platform.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Work on core components for Dremio’s query engine
• Design, develop, and optimize the query execution engine, its operators and functions, leveraging vectorized data processing techniques
• Work with columnar formats, ensuring efficient data reading, writing, and encoding
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve CPU usage, memory utilization, and achieve significant speedups in query execution.
• Work with and contribute to open source projects like Apache Iceberg, Parquet, Arrow and Calcite
