We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in Ottawa. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, with extensive experience in cloud services and building scalable, large-scale applications. As a Senior Software Developer at Spoonity, you will play a crucial role in developing and enhancing our loyalty platform, ensuring it meets the highest standards of quality, performance, and reliability.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on cloud services and scalable applications.
• Proficient in multiple programming languages, such as PHP and Python.
• Familiarity with SRE and DevOps
• Experience working with off-the-shelf and open-source AI models and streaming data
• Experience working with and mentoring more junior developers
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and containerization technologies (e.g., Kubernetes).
• Experience with database technologies
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Design, develop, and implement highly scalable software solutions
• Work closely with the product and design teams to understand requirements and translate them into high-quality software.
• Collaborate on architecture and development of cloud-based services, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and cost-effective.
