We are seeking a Senior Node.js API Engineer to join our client and play a crucial role in a huge greenfield platform uplift. If you are a skilled Node.js engineer with a strong background in AWS, infrastructure-as-code, and a passion for continuous learning, we want to hear from you.
Job Description: As a Senior Node.js Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs, micro-services, and serverless solutions on AWS. You will work within a collaborative Agile team to deliver high-quality code and ensure that our clients’ business and technical requirements are met. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4-6 years of experience in building RESTful APIs and 4 years of hands-on experience with Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Git.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

• Node.js and TypeScript development expertise.
• AWS services: CDK, EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, REST API.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code (e.g., CloudFormation) to automate cloud infrastructure provisioning and management.

DESIRABLE SKILLS:

• Experience with AWS services such as Event Bridge, DynamoDB, RDS, CloudFront, WAF, CloudWatch, SQS, SNS, VPC, and EC2.
• Familiarity with AWS Code Pipeline, Code Deploy, and Code Build.

• Design and build RESTful APIs and micro-services
• Develop cloud-native solutions on AWS, with a focus on serverless architecture.
• Work with AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, and CloudFormation (or related tools, ideally CDK).
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like Git, GitHub, and AWS Code Pipeline.
• Ensure code quality through code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and TDD.
• Implement infrastructure-as-code practices to automate and manage cloud infrastructure.
