The Red Hat OpenShift QE team is looking for a Senior Software Quality Engineer with the United States nationality to join us. In this role, you will work on Red Hat’s OpenShift cloud service web console and the related technologies, including container technology, Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenStack Platform, and Red Hat Middleware. You’ll be required to interpret test requirements for Red Hat’s OpenShift customer use cases and develop innovative automated solutions for testing real-world customer workflows in test environments containing Red Hat’s OpenShift .

What you will do:

  • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans, test cases, and test reports.
  • Execute functional, integration, regression, performance and scalability tests using open source tools for OpenShift.
  • Design, develop and maintain test automation using Golang & Cypress, analyze test results and guarantee test efficiency. Implement automation tools as needed.
  • Work in a fast paced environment, be goal-oriented. Proactively communicates with multiple stakeholders across teams to implement new ideas and improvements.
  • Oversee potential problems and devise mechanisms to solve them timely.
  • Act as an expert in the area of your project.
  • Actively suggest and implement continuous improvement in the workflow.
  • Work in a global team, embrace diversity and culture differences.

What you will bring:

  • 3+ years professional experience working as a Software Quality Engineer.
  • Ideally able to work Hybrid in Raleigh NC, Boston MA or Westford MA
  • US Citizen as this is working with the US Government
  • Experience in the front end web technologies such as HTML/CSS/JavaScript/TypeScript/AJAX etc.
  • Experience in Web automation such as Cypress, able to contribute to automation framework.
  • Experience of any Linux operating system (any distribution) (basic commands, Shell scripting, basic system maintenance), able to maintain and resolve issues under Linux.
  • Experience in CICD technology.
  • Familiarity with the web development framework (React) .
  • Experience in troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • Familiar with agile testing methodologies and techniques.
  • Must be a quick learner.
  • Proven written and spoken English skills.
