Senior Solicitor - Public Litigation

Exciting opportunity for litigation candidates with a passion for driving positive change in the community. We are working with one of the nations largest and experienced specialist litigation firms. This firm strives to provide excellent legal services in a cost-effective way for their clients. They are the primary provider of legal support to government departments, agencies and organisations. The firm acts in major civil and commercial litigation cases for both public and private sector clients. They advise on human rights and Bill of Rights cases, as well as environmental, climate change and Te Tiriti o Waitangi issues.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Vary depending what work you are most interested in. This role affords the successful candidate to work beneath a range of partners specialising in:
• Resource Management;
• Public and regulatory;
• Public litigation.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation, case law and industry trends;
• Drafting relevant court documents for court and judicial review procedures.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU MAY HAVE:

• Strong knowledge of litigation processes and laws;
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
• Commitment to maintaining high ethical standards and confidentiality;
• Ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail;
• Strong research skills with the ability to analyse complex legal information;
• 4 + PQE however all applications will be assessed on merit.
  This role is open to backgrounds of those who were judges clerks, have experience in the court, or in public regulatory teams.
