JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking highly motivated Solution Architect who has experience and exposure to enterprise application design/development/deployment, data migration and integration activities for on-prem and the cloud environments using various technologies.
Candidate must have experience working with multiple teams in large scale projects to finalize the high level and detailed solution architecture. Candidate will be responsible for the delivery of technical architecture including application, data, integration, infrastructure, network, security, and deployment architecture and will drive it to execution within the project timelines.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Leading workshop/design sessions to understand business and non-functional requirements
• Identifying project risks and possible mitigations and work with project managers to ensure mitigation plans are executed.
• Expertise in Develop, document, and communicate technical decisions
• Proficient with Develop and document solution architectures, non-functional requirements, test strategy and data migration plan
• Developing and documenting data and integration requirements
• The scope of the analysis, recommendations, and decisions are enterprise-wide
• Experience with Oil and Gas midstream business is an asset.

Cover all technical aspects of solution architecture development including application, data, security, Integration, infrastructure, and mobility

• Gather technical requirements: The technical architect will participate in workshops with business and IT to gather technical requirements for application projects
• Analyze current & future state: The technical architect will document current/future state solutions using a combination of visual and written deliverables.
• Present technical decisions: The technical architect will create and present technical decision to the Architecture Review Board
• Ensure designs meet standards: The technical architect will ensure that technical designs meet enterprise standards
• Document solutions: Produce architecture design documents including conceptual, logical, physical architecture diagrams and detailed specifications for proposed solutions.
• Estimation : Ensure project development and sustainment efforts and costs are documented and revised appropriately and in line with EA governance and PMO stage gate requirements
• Large Project Architecture Artifacts: Works with enterprise architecture to define standards, policy, and designs for on-premise, cloud applications, and integration related needs, including the assessment of vendor recommended design elements.
• Execute Architecture Requirements: Lead project design workshops and execute architecture design. Work closely with the system integrator, various COEs and/or infrastructure shared services to deliver the architecture requirements.
• Manage risk: Standardize the definition of data classifications and data zoning to allow information assets to be immediately identified and proactively managed as more information becomes federated in a digital economy.
• Secure Enterprise application, data and assets: Aid in the analysis of enterprise application, integration and data security requirements and solutions to ensure that enterprise data, integrations and application assets are treated as a protected asset.
