MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, system engineering or a related discipline.

ROLE PURPOSE:

In the capacity of Senior Infrastructure Solution Architect, you will play a pivotal role in steering our strategic vision and offering technical guidance for the design and execution of our infrastructure architecture. Your responsibilities will extend to delivering key outcomes that contribute to the technical roadmap for the holistic delivery of Infrastructure services, encompassing network, shared infrastructure services, systems, cloud services, and wireless portfolio, tailored for the entire group.
This multifaceted role demands a diverse skill set that is not only limited to technical abilities. It will range from a keen understanding of business dynamics and meticulous documentation throughout the infrastructure lifecycle to technical proficiency spanning cloud solutions, on-premise networking, storage, compute, wireless technologies, and related domains.
Designs Infrastructure and Networking Solutions for Complex Business Projects encompassing group-wide delivery. For example, Group wide Data centre consolidation, Infrastructure modernization, Group wide Business Continuity Plan and Execution, etc. The role requires deliverables that help provide technical direction for overall Infrastructure services delivery including network, shared infrastructure services, systems, cloud services and wireless portfolio of services for the group.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Works collaboratively across the organization, lead the analysis of new/existing infrastructure & cloud computing architectures, specify long term direction, and ensures engineering platforms meet reliability expectations throughout the process across the group.
• Defines and Selects Infrastructure & Cloud Technologies required to build efficient group-wide reusable solutions that are aligned with the IT Strategy and Architecture Vision of the Group.
• Within the architecture team, takes complete ownership for infrastructure and networking solutions for the group wide initiatives, and make solution decisions & technology choices keeping both short term goals and long-term objectives in view.
• Design solutions keeping the view of infrastructure as a service or chargeback to businesses.
• Create, Document and Ensure that necessary conceptual/logical architectures and system documents are generated for the correct implementation/integration or deployment of the solutions.
• Demonstrable Technical Writing to create comprehensive Conceptual and Logical Architectures, and System Documentation essential for effective implementation, integration, and deployment of solutions.
• Manage and develop infrastructure solution architectures for group wide initiatives, working closely with enterprise architects, data architects, integration and application architects to lead the Solution design for various initiatives.
• Work with various global services teams to ensure the appropriate specification of the infrastructure is proposed for deployment.
• Ensure the technical integrity and quality of the solutions
• Define the principles, guidelines, standards and solution patterns to ensure design decisions are aligned with the enterprise’s future-state architecture vision.
• Oversight experience on transformational projects and successful transitions to implementation support teams
• Proven track record of building trusted technical and business relationships with business executives and having a constant drive grow in highly strategic relationships within the group
• Proven track record of driving decisions collaboratively, resolving conflicts and ensuring follow through with cross-functional teams
• Participates as an SME in the Infrastructure Architecture & Design Sessions and Project Presentations. Leads Presentations for specific initiatives.
• Participates in proof of concepts to assist, explore and define solutions and technology direction thus aligning with business strategy.
• Participates in drafting RFPs, RFIs and RFQs for defining solutions, specifications and scope of work for various projects/requirements.
• Effectively communicates with strategic partners and solution vendors to assist in matters of technical direction as required. May need to manage the installation and deployment of new technologies and solutions as they arise.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills leveraging all available resources
• Ability to connect technology with measurable business value
• Assess efforts, risks, costs, and complexity related to Systems Design.
• Responsible for ensuring compliance and update to the solution architecture documentation frameworks to support Service Delivery
• Provides coaching, develop skills and improve performance of peer solution architects and employees.
• Applies knowledge of business and personal objectives to key players and get them personally committed to the success of the solution architecture initiatives
• Work closely with the program management office (PMO) or project management office to ensure the execution of plans corresponds with what is being promised.
