  • Tertiary education in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline.
  • Success in designing and delivering complex, enterprise grade, highly scalable solutions for real time payments.
  • Well versed in designing and modelling APIs, defining the specs, understanding inputs and error conditions.
  • Competence in Java and TypeScript.
  • Demonstrable competence in navigating the FIS Global Product Suite.
  • Knowledge of e vent-driven system technologies such as Kafka.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of ISO20022 and BIAN Specifications.
  • Experience in domestic payments (NPP, RTGS, BECS, BPay etc).
  • Knowledge of payment processing, gateways, and integration technologies.
  • Complex problem-solving skills and strategic thinking skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding and adherence to cyber security best-practice principles.
  • Clear, effective communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Solution Architect, you will contribute to business-driven projects and programs that expand and enhance customer experiences on real-time payments. As such, your key contributory role in defining technical solutions for Payments Technology initiatives, and architecting products that meet our Group safe, sound and secure standards. To achieve this, your daily responsibilities may involve:

  • Engaging with business stakeholders to consult and requirement gather across various strategic initiatives.
  • A scertaining strategic initiatives, researching, collaborating and designing scalable, resilient, enterprise-grade hybrid solutions.
  • Authoring implementation plans and ensuring appropriate documentation.
  • Partnering with internal stakeholders and vendor teams to positively influence outcomes.
  • Providing Technical guidance, to support quality, security and timely delivery of project initiatives.
  • Utilising strong understanding of core business and technical strategies to deliver best business outcomes.
  • Identifying and recommending solutions to business or technical problems and support recommendations for endorsement in stakeholder forums.
  • Staying abreast of emerging technology, future developments, opportunities and risks in relation to real-time payments and its impact on the Group strategic objectives.
