OBJECTIVES OF THE POSITION

In addition, we enable BASF to hire the best talent and to develop their full potential through our talent management product suite. We are, as well, delivering and supporting HR ServiceNow capabilities to improve our stakeholder experiences around HR knowledge and inquiries.
For the ServiceNow platform, we are looking for a Senior ServiceNow Solution Consultant to implement, administer and support the ServiceNow platform for our enterprise-wide introduction of Service Now in Human Resources.

REQUIREMENTS

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant Business/IT studies

Working Experience

  • 5 years of working experience around ServiceNow applications’ implementation and administration with at least 4 years of experience as a back-end developer, ideally under HRSD
  • Excellent understanding in HRSD of ServiceNow including the broad functionality of ServiceNow (ENPL, ITSM, ITBM, OT, PSM)
  • Experienced in Enterprise IT Infrastructure technologies and support lifecycle requirements
  • Possesses ServiceNow Administrator certificate
  • Excellent technical consulting skills with scripting knowledge/experience and ability to analyze data from multiple data sources
  • Excellent configuration and customization management skills

Nice to have skills/ softskills

  • Knowledge of HCM (SAP R/3)
  • Ideally business consulting experience in IT/Digitalization of Human Resources.
  • Familiar with SAFe or similar Agile methodologies and practices.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Self-management skills to optimize teamwork within international teams.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills to understand, address, and support customer needs
  • Proactivity and dynamic attitude to steer ServiceNow HR solutions within the regional capacity

Responsibilities:

  • Work with HR ServiceNow senior consultants, developers, product managers, product owners, customers and providers to define the minimum viable product (MVP) that satisfies the business needs around HR Service Delivery product
  • Support Platform Owner and Platform Architect in developing the strategy through incremental improvement of the platform offering
  • Understand HR business process needs and design the flows/ solutions in ServiceNow based on Platform and Enterprise best practices for the HRSD module
  • Understand the independencies between ITSM and HRSD ServiceNow modules on the same instance
  • Partner with business and IT to elicit, analyze, translate and document business requirements, pain points or opportunities into IT requirements
  • Support integrations between ServiceNow and other systems e.g. HCM (SAP R/3).
  • Act as an advisor to process owners, stakeholders, and other team members around out of the box functionalities, best practices, and other considerations for processes optimization
  • Identify gaps in existing functionalities and options for improvement based on users’ insights, available out of the box functionality and opportunities for process automation
  • Work with business partners to conduct/support paper-based design, proof of concepts, solutioning sessions, and MVP testing all along the life cycle from business demand to value delivery
  • Responsible for identifying security & compliance requirements, including the roles and accesses associated with the process in scope to ensure they are considered in the implemented solution
  • Support the analysis of issues and incidents to ensure an error free operational model
  • Analyze, document and test program development, logic, process flows and business specifications
  • Create and/or support the creation of training materials for the processes in scope (SOPs, standard routines, video-teasers and guided tours)
