Description:

  • Hybrid-Working (Uxbridge x3 days and x2 days WFH)
  • 6 month contract
  • c£525 per day (via Umbrella)

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • c10+ years professional work experience in a corporate environment
  • Demonstrated leadership and effective business partnering capabilities
  • Experience supporting Procurement projects working directly with business partners to execute on defined scope, budget, and transformation results
  • Proven track record of applying procurement principles, concepts, best practices, and standards along with an in-depth knowledge of industry practices
  • Ability to support the development of category and sourcing strategies by identifying opportunity areas
  • Experience managing and maintaining strong supplier relationships
  • Strong leadership presence and negotiation/contract management experience
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with procurement/spend systems data and analysis
  • Knowledge and experience of strategic sourcing processes
  • Strong educational background (BA/BSc/MA/MSc/MBA, etc.)

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Successfully engage in strategic planning, budgeting and target setting to deliver meaningful business impact
  • Collaborate with leadership teams across functions to identify requirements aligned with the business unit’s strategies and business priorities
  • Act as a ‘strategic thought partner’ to each Business Unit while aligning on business objectives, challenges, projects and requirements
  • Create a compelling case for change and inspire stakeholders to collaborate and realize the value Procurement brings to the business plan
  • Manage a holistic portfolio end-to-end, supporting the implementation of an array of category strategies and specific local Projects
  • Partner with Global Category Managers to develop global category strategies, sharing the regional objectives, desired product/service specifications and projected demand
