Our mission is to Deliver automation, shared platform capabilities, and viable sourcing strategies to enable cost savings, quality and efficiencies. This role will influence the design and delivery of system automation capabilities across AT&T enterprise architects, engineers and managers across business units within the whole company. It will drive delivery of system automation enablers for key CTO and business initiatives 5G, RAN, 5G Core/NC, FN, SDN, Fiber, ROADM, Win Home. This includes driving towards a single source of truth network inventory platform enabled by leading industry CMDB platforms. This role will be integral in the Network Transformation initiatives driving new strategies, implementation of tooling and leading change.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Senior Specialist Applications Development is a technical position requiring the breadth and depth of experience in architecture, systems and application design and development in telecommunications field. The candidate shall know a major subset of 5G, Fiber broadband, or telecommunication OSS systems (large carriers) and to be able to quickly learn any. Candidate shall be able to flexibly switch from gathering and distilling requirements from the clients, to leading the group of developers in implementing solutions and applications based on these requirements. In particular, multiyear experience working in ServiceNow environment, utilizing out of box solutions and being able to work on custom elements is highly sought after.

Qualifications:

• Hands-on working experience with relational and graph databases
• Understanding of asset management, routing, VRF, VPN, IP address management
• Working knowledge of applicable TMForum open APIs
• Working experience in Cloud environments (e.g. Azure) and ServiceNow (in particular Resource APIs, Template Manager, CMDB, UI Designer, Flow Designer, Business Rules and high proficiency in JavaScript).
• Solid understanding of software development methodologies such as SAFe/Agile/DevOps
• Independence: ability to participate in and lead projects in a highly collaborative environment
• Analysis and Problem Solving: The ability to solve complex, critical problems and use extensive research and interpretative thinking. Ability to utilize innovative methods to develop solutions to problems
• Ability to communicate effectively in English – both verbally and in writing

Education:

• Preferred Master of Science (with 5+ years of experience) degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics.

Location: This is a hybrid-flex worker position where our preference is for you to be present with your team in the office at least 1-3 times per week.
