| About the role
The Senior Specialist, Content Marketer, connects modern payments business objectives to targeted audiences through interesting content. As an experienced communications professional, you understand the importance of protecting and bringing awareness to a brand.
You understand the need for strong partnerships, the value of education and awareness and how to reach audiences and open up conversations through a variety of content experiences. You are a highly analytical thinker that keeps the audience top of mind in the development of content. You thrive in an active and demanding environment and value integrated approaches and working together for success. You are passionate about learning and storytelling and are looking to bring your best ideas to life.
We are looking for a talented senior content marketer specialist to join our corporate communications team. Your goal will be to raise the Payments Canada brand and reputation through strong content strategies that educate, connect and inspire our audiences.
This is a temporary position for a 24 month term.
| What you’ll do

Responsibilities of the Senior Specialist, Content Marketer include:

  • Develop the design and implement creative content marketing strategies based on sound methodology in support of Payments Canada’s strategic objectives with a specific focus on modern payments and our current and future payment systems;
  • Work closely with internal and external partners to grow interest, awareness and understanding of Payments Canada, particularly focused on the benefits of modern payments and our current and future payment systems;
  • Produce high-quality content for a variety of platforms (written, audio and video) by collaborating with subject matter experts, members of the Marketing and Communications team and external vendors;
  • Build brand identity and online presence through the creation and dissemination of multimedia content;
  • Measure the success of content marketing strategies though sound analytics development, analysis and reporting;
  • Provide strategic communications advice to internal business partners and leaders across the organization;
  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships, internally and externally;
  • Help mentor and develop members of the communications team.

|Minimum Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in communications, journalism, public relations, or related field;
  • A minimum of five (5) progressive experience in a marketing and/or corporate communications environment;
  • Understanding of web publishing requirements;
  • Ability to predict audience preferences with an editorial outlook;
  • Experience with SEO and web traffic metrics, social media platforms;
  • Proven skills in content marketing, strategic communications and project management;
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize complex material;
  • Strong knowledge of marketing and corporate communications best practices;
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, team player and demonstrated ability to work effectively with stakeholders;
  • A capacity to work well under pressure and respond effectively in a demanding and fast-paced environment;
  • Government of Canada Reliability clearance or eligibility to obtain.

|Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingualism (English and French) is considered an asset;

| Salary Range

  • Based on qualifications and experience: $93,637 and 117,046.
