Responsible to work with the CE business units to support a sustainable growth strategy for CE (Consumer Electronics) Division in SECA (Samsung Electronics Canada). Together with the Senior Manager, Corporate Strategy, this role will partner with Samsung Canada’s business units including Home Entertainment, Digital Appliance, and Enterprise Business Divisions in order to identify and drive synergy and solutions to prospective channels. The role also supports various requirements of executive reporting and analysis related to the business units.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Apply expertise and advanced knowledge to steer strategic business decisions by analyzing economic and market trends
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance financial data for monthly, quarterly and annual macro economy forecast, managing the process from data collection to analysis by evaluation from financial press, corporate reports, industry analysis, and alternative sources
  • Bring up key business challenges and contribute to the development of considerable solution in playbooks, managing the articulation of complex issues into actionable insights.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis as requested for the CEO and executive management through report/project (internal/NAHQ/HQ) to communicate business performance / positioning, market trend, promotional initiatives and measure, ROI of marketing / sales initiatives
  • Collaborate with each business unit and the leaders across CE Division to manage the understanding of the business strategy, objectives, and obstacles, identifying opportunities for meaningful improvements
  • Manage workshop facilitation and meeting management, ensuring effective communication and decision-making process
  • Work closely with key stakeholders in each business unit to manage the collection of feedback, strategic direction and ensure unified execution
  • Participate in divisional and cross-divisional projects to manage support for ongoing corporate initiatives and enhance efficiencies for the CEO
  • Work with Sr. Manager in Corporate Strategy to design and plan a strategic approach as a solutions-based provider. Work closely with key stakeholders in each CE business unit to manage the collection of feedback, strategic direction and ensure unified execution
  • Coordinate Executive Meetings, taking meeting notes for SECA leadership and NAHQ meetings to support management and execution of cross-divisional initiatives
  • Regularly consolidate the corporate business strategy initiatives and priorities (ie. Town Hall, CEO message discussion)

Skills and Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or MBA (a plus)

Knowledge:

  • Strong Microsoft office skills, especially with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • The ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple and simultaneous projects
  • Demonstrated ability to interact and work with all levels within the organization
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Presentation and storytelling skills
  • Fluent in Korean an asset, but not mandatory

Experience:

  • 5+ years of related experience in business, finance, or consulting in IT, Consumer Electronics, Telecommunication industry in strategy, planning, or marketing analysis preferred
  • Must be self-motivated, hardworking, energetic with positive attitude, and a team player in order to achieve objectives, program implementations and team goals and to complete assignments within established time frames and specifications.
