Senior Specialist, Vendor Management
FactSet is a leader in providing research and analytical tools to finance professionals. FactSet offers instant access to accurate financial data and analytics around the world. FactSet clients combine hundreds of databases from industry-leading suppliers into a single powerful information system.
The Senior Specialist, Vendor Management is responsible for managing our vendor relationships, constantly optimizing our contract portfolio and the procurement process, coordinating collaboration with internal stakeholders (engineering teams, legal, etc.), and providing procurement performance, cost allocation, and budget reports.
This position is located in the Global Procurement department. Global Procurement is responsible for purchasing hardware, software, and services for Factset worldwide. We manage large parts of FactSet’s technology budget and act as a service center for other teams/departments
Responsibilities:
- Manage commercial relationships with our vendors
- Process purchase requisitions and POs
- Support planning and administration of FactSet’s budget
- Analyze and optimize our contract portfolio
- Work with the requesting teams to ensure high quality in service delivery
- Meet corporate cost reduction goals which will include enforcing demand management, while achieving corporate objectives related to supplier diversity and sustainability
Required Skills:
- Good understanding of data center technology and related services
- Clear analysis of business cases and ability to communicate/present them
- Experience in contract management
- Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3- 5 years experience in procurement
- Demonstrated capacity to be coachable, take feedback, and incorporate it into your role
Highly Desired:
- Presentation skills
- Good understanding of Finance
- Ability to work independently and team-oriented
- Experience with procurement systems (Workday, iProcurement, or similar) is a plus
