An organisation with a great social purpose are looking for an experienced SQL / Business Intelligence Developer to join their team in Swadlincote, South Derbyshire.
You will be joining their close-knit Business Intelligence team, with the primary focus of your role being developing ETL processes and SQL stored procedures to automate and optimise various systems and processes, and to look after their suite of SSRS reports. More generally, you will pick up ad-hoc requests for data from the wider business.
As a Senior within the team, you’ll support and mentor Junior colleagues, making this a great next-step in an experienced SQL Developer’s career.
This organisation are committed to leveraging some of the latest Microsoft technologies, with some reports now in Power BI and some databases sitting in Azure - there are long-term plans to fully modernise their data-estate in line with a wider digital transformation, making this a really exciting time to get involved.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SQL professional to join an organisation who are on a journey to become increasingly data-driven, and where your work will have a real impact from day one!

Requirements:

  • Strong SQL and T-SQL development including query writing, developing stored procedures, indexes, triggers, function and views
  • Experience with SQL performance monitoring and optimising queries
  • Strong SSRS development experience - any additional experience with Power BI would be a bonus, but is not essential
  • Excellent communication skills
