Description:

Band 6 Senior Staff Nurse (Fertility Service)
This is a fixed-term/secondment opportunity for 6 months to cover maternity leave and part-time for 15 hours per week.
We are pleased to offer this exciting opportunity to join our fertility service within our Gynaecology department at the Trust.
You should be passionate about providing high quality care to women and their partners, demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills and have a professional attitude and enthusiastic approach with drive and ambition.
You must be a registered Nurse with full NMC membership and have recent experience within women’s health.
The post holder works as a skilled practitioner and is responsible for the delivery of patient-focused programmes of care for women with complications in fertility, and to address the complex and changing health and well-being needs of this specialist client group in their clinical area.
Be able to demonstrate advanced communication skills with women, families and other healthcare professionals.
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of standards and policies of clinical practice within the specialist areas.
Be able to exercise clinical judgement and decision making and provide support and counselling to fertility patients.
Demonstrate clinical, managerial and educational leadership skills to nursing and support staff.
Run fertility outreach clinics at bespoke sites at Townlands in Henley-on-Thames and West Berkshire Community Hospital in Thatcham.
