HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT:

We are seeking a talented, driven Senior Staff Software Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be a part a very high-performing team of engineers that build, own, and maintain backend services thet build the AIS and AIS Managed Services products. You will design, collaborate, and execute building the these products at scale, while automating and providing insights to the onboarding with the SXM Media and AdsWizz services.

Technical experience in the following areas:

• Experience with streaming servers (Shoutcast, icecast, Wowza,…)
• Knowledge of protocols as HTTP, RTMP, RTSP, HLS
• Experience with Amazon AWS services (S3, SQS, CloudFront, Lambda, API Gateway, Athena …)
• Experience with other programming languages like Go and Pytho

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Provide mentoring and advice for other engineers
• Provide technical leadership for the requirements, analysis and design and implementation of the most used Audio Streaming Server in the world - AIS, written in C/C++
• Provide technical leadership for the requirements, analysis, design and implementation of the AIS Managed Service Platform, built on top of AWS technologies and Go programming language
• Develop high-quality, high-performance software
• Collaborate with the Product team to clarify the scope of the projects
• Collaborate with the Global Operations teams to ensure flawless deployments in production and provide support to the L1/L2/L3 teams
• Work with a team of engineers building software in a collaborative development process
• Build high-performance, stable, scalable systems to be deployed in an enterprise setting
• Lead high-level architecture discussions and planning sessions
• Provide mentoring and advice for other engineers
• Support proprietary systems or in-house developed software

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO DO THE JOB:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar field, or equivalent experience, in lieu of degree.
• 10+ years experience of C/C++ programming
• Excellent experience with software architecture & modeling tools
• Strong problem-solving skills, as well as oral and written communication skills
• Excellent understanding of Continuous Delivery and Continuous Deployment
• Experience with one modern cloud solution (ideally AWS)
• Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels.
