Description:

  • Contract: ASAP - Nov 2024 (with extensions)
  • Pay Rate: $613.00 p/d + Super
  • Location: Work from home 2 days, Sydney CBD 3 days.
  • You must hold Australian Permanent residency or citizenship and reside in NSW
  • Pre Employment Checks: Police Check / 2 x References

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Tertiary qualifications in media, marketing or communications and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience with demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
  • IAP2 Certification or substantial experience in management of complex communications and/or engagement initiatives.
  • Experience in government communication and engagement is essential.
  • Proven experience in working within the construction industry is a must.
  • Ability to start immediately and hit the ground running.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive approach to networking and industry engagement.
  • Experience in event planning and digital communication platforms is preferred.
  • Hold Australian citizenship or permanent residency is a must.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the construction industry to support the rollout of policies and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with a small, high-functioning team on various projects, including Women in Construction initiatives.
  • Provide communication and engagement support, including arranging round tables, and coordinating with stakeholders such as tier 1 contractors (e.g., John Holland, Lend Lease), the Australian Construction Association, and unions.
  • Organise planning and preparation work for events and forums, liaising with speakers, drafting intranet articles, and developing presentations.
  • Proactively engage in industry searches, staying updated with media articles, and suggesting contacts for collaboration.
  • Assist in event planning and development of presentations for internal teams.
