    Data#3 is currently seeking an experienced Senior Storage & Backup Engineer to join our Managed Services team based in Brisbane.

YOUR KEY SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years’ experience in the provision and support of Storage and Backup technical services in an outsourcing environment
  • In-depth support and administration knowledge of two or more of the following backup and recovery solutions: Veeam, Azure backup, NetBackup, Commvault, EMC Avamar, IBM Spectrum Protect
  • Storage technologies experience across multiple vendors; DellEMC, HPE, IBM, Lenovo, Nimble, Azure Storage Services, VMware VSAN
  • Experience with Server Virtualisation and HCI platforms and O/S i.e. Hyper-V, VMware ESXi, VxRail, Nutanix, Cisco UCS
  • Minimum of 5 years in systems management and administration with good understanding of operating systems, including Microsoft Windows Servers, Linux
  • Strong understanding of RAID, SCSI, SAN, NAS, and FC
  • Experience managing tape libraries with LTO tape technology
  • Ability in solving complex Backup and Storage problems in small and large scale environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Apply technical knowledge to resolve customer problems and requests to required service targets
  • Liaise with customers performing incident analysis and problem resolution management, defining and making recommendations where no solution is available
  • Maintain a high level of communication between customers and team members ensuring all written and verbal responses are clear, complete and logical.
  • Evaluate new technologies to understand and communicate risk and implications
