QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduate of any Bachelor’s / College Degree in Engineering, Business Studies/Administration/ Management or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience.
  • Experience in sourcing and supplier management, including implementing cost savings
  • Confidence with cost management
  • Materials Management background MRP, ERP software.
  • Experience in a Materials Management or similar role.
  • Previous experience within a global purchasing environment, implementing strategies
  • Proven track record of achievement in a relevant position
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, particularly data and cost management
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Must not have had any disciplinary case within the past year
  • Must not be under Performance Improvement Plan
  • With at least a year in his/her current position

Responsibilities:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage effective communication with tactical counterpart.
  • Use knowledge and supplier dealings to input into commodity strategy.
  • Execute commodity strategy.
  • Support Galley enablement.
  • Sourcing Process RFQ and cost data for production and development Galleys, including any pricing disputes and PPV.
  • Manage price books and cost variances.
  • Analyze demand and pricing to set appropriate order quantities and batch size.
  • Review supplier performance and agree plans Commodity manager if required.
  • Support Design activities and execute these plans.
  • Identify cost reduction opportunities and develop strategies to realize savings
  • Lead or support the implementation of cost reduction initiatives
  • Working with the potential suppliers and the program team, identify opportunities to reduce weight and cost, and address quality issues
  • Ensure the suppliers are ‘rate ready’ to support production.
  • Support and work closely with the Tactical Procurement team to ensure supplier performance is in line with required and contracted terms
  • Identify supply chain risks and develop strategy to minimize impact
  • Together with the commodity manager, develop the commodity by managing projects that would include the preparation of business cases and commodity profiles
  • Adheres to participate in all EHS practices and standards across the site, including but not limited to proactive reporting of observed hazards and recommendations to ensure the safety and well-being of self and others.
