This is an exciting opportunity to establish and lead a Strategic Intelligence Function at the Law Enforcement Conduct Commission.

If so, then this is your opportunity to join the Law Enforcement Conduct Commission (LECC) - an independent investigative commission established to provide oversight of the NSW Police Force and NSW Crime Commission.
At LECC, we are committed to strengthening the integrity of law enforcement in NSW, by working collaboratively with the NSW Police Force and the NSW Crime Commission to promote the prevention and elimination of officer misconduct.
The establishment of a strategic intelligence function at the LECC is in response to the Commission’s Strategic Plan 2023 – 2026. This role will suit an experienced professional with demonstrated experience in intelligence, with strong strategic intelligence skills. The newly created role of Senior Strategic Intelligence Analyst will establish and lead the Strategic Intelligence Team, working with internal stakeholders to develop, prepare and present strategic intelligence products.
The Strategic Intelligence Team will inform strategic decision making and provide support to all areas of the LECC by identifying, collecting and analysing relevant data to produce intelligence products to enhance the understanding of systemic, emerging and enduring corruption and police misconduct issues and risks.

Key accountabilities

  • Lead the Strategic Intelligence Team ensuring that there is a clear and understood direction and it is focused on the achievement of agreed business unit outcomes and LECC’s objectives.
  • Proactively drive the delivery of strategic intelligence projects and activities, analysing corruption and misconduct issues and risks to inform LECC’s functions.
  • Undertake complex analysis across a range of information and data systems and intelligence sources.
  • Deliver high quality verbal briefings and written products to key stakeholders including the Strategic Intelligence Steering Committee and Working Group and the Strategic Operations Committee comprising of the LECC’s senior decision-makers.
  • Initiate and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure products and services are timely, accurate, relevant and actionable.
