Wood APAC Minerals & Metals team is currently delivering critical metals projects, including Copper, Nickel, Lithium, Vanadium, Rare Earths, and Base Metals. This portfolio of projects ranging from studies through to EPCM packages working on developments in Australia and internationally.
Wood has secured a long-term engineering services project partnering with one of the world’s largest precious metal operations. Working in a key engineering service contract, the focus of your role will be to create delivery excellence across the assigned project portfolio. In this portfolio, you may deliver small-scale projects with responsibility for cost, schedule, resource allocation and risk, while working within an established program management plan
In addition, this role will undertake the following duties: -
- Establishes detailed designs and performance specifications to fulfil the requirements of assigned general specifications for components, systems, processes, etc
- Responsible for meeting discipline cost and schedule requirements in the production of deliverables, coordinates own work schedule, and prepares progress reports.
- Develops a range of engineering deliverables, including specifications, calculations, reports, technical requisitions and others
- Conducts problem-solving in the area of expertise: problems involve new concepts and new and varied problems to be solved that demand technical expertise, investigation and interpretation.
- Partners with the client, building a collaborative working relationship and driving aligned objectives to ensure continuous delivery of project needs
ABOUT YOU
You will have created a career in the mineral process/hydrometallurgical facilities ideally across both client and consultancy design engineering, with good knowledge of brownfield sustaining capital projects. Your knowledge of operations and technical expertise will encourage you to partner with our client to reach outcomes in a challenging production environment. In addition, we are looking for:
- Tertiary Qualifications from a recognised institute, Bachelor of Civil Engineering
- Developing ability to mentor & motivate technical professionals
- Consistently demonstrates creativity and innovation in finding solutions and alternatives to address complex client requirements, possessing agility and adaptability to project or client requirements.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for inter-departmental and external company interactions
- Ability to diagnose and resolve significant and unusual problems and generate substantial improvements to practices and procedures
- Ability to broadly interpret principles, theories, and concepts of an engineering specialty.
- High level of awareness and commitment to safety in all aspects of daily work.
- Possesses integrity, strong work ethic, positive attitude, and is dependable.
- Adaptable and flexible to the changing needs of projects
