What’s the job?
The Senior Student Services Adviser (SSSA) will provide high-quality enquiry and concierge services on campus. As part of the campus team the SSSA will support the delivery of programs, events and activities to enhance student engagement for on campus and online students.
The SSSA will resolve student enquiries and perform administrative tasks such as changes to subject enrolments, opening and closing academic workflow processes, checking and collecting documentation from students, attending to student financial queries/refunds and processing credit transfers.

Reporting to the Student Support Manager – Melbourne you will join a team of passionate staff who are playing their part in making sure that we are here to deliver an exceptional learning experience for students.

Day-to-day accountabilities:

  • Supervise a small team of Student Services Advisers and oversee, where applicable, compliance with Torrens Global Education Services (TGE) and legislative policies
  • Ensure that outstanding customer service is provided to staff, students, prospective students and the broader campus community via a “one-stop-shop”
  • Deliver outbound customer care programs to support student success and maximise engagement
  • Communicate effectively and appropriately with the campus community about student admin and support processes and services, and provide admin support to other teams as required
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement activities relating to practices/protocols, quality assurance standards and customer service excellence
  • Provide international student administration services, including orientations and visa / COE enquiries, complying with external regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures
  • Manage stock levels of student related materials such as student cards and lanyards and ensure students receive their ID cards and any other equipment, materials or uniform in a timely and efficient manner
  • Welcome student complaints as a source of wisdom, resolve issues quickly and effectively and use complaints to inform improvements

This is a full-time role and location is Flinders Street Campus Melbourne.
Salary range $70,000 - $80,000 plus superannuation.
Who you are

To be successful in the Senior Student Services Adviser position you will have:

  • Bachelor degree required for this role
  • A minimum of two years experience in student administration within a higher education college or university (preferred)
  • Outstanding customer service skills, including strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and ability to relate to a diverse range of people
  • High level teamwork and the ability to work with and/or be a member of multiple teams
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, and the capacity to communicate clearly
  • Proficiency in computer and software skills, particularly in word processing, spread sheets and using enterprise-wide records management systems
  • Attention to detail and the ability to undertake high volumes of administrative processing efficiently and with a high level of accuracy
  • Knowledge of and use of administrative policies and procedures including records and document management
  • A student-service mentality and respect for balancing both people and commercial needs
  • Strong personal drive and self-motivation
