Description:

Great opportunity is available for a Senior Support Engineer to join a Unified Communications Support Team within a leading tech company that partners with the biggest companies in Australia.
Contract: 9 Month Daily Rate
Location: Hybrid with 2 days in the Sydney Office, 3 days WFH

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 5 years experience as a Senior Support Engineer focused on Voice Technologies, ideally working in a Unified Communication environment

Cisco Collaboration Products expertise (Communications Manager, Webex, Unity Connection, IM&P, etc.).

  • Cisco networking platform knowledge (routing, switching, firewalls).
  • Deep understanding of voice technologies and enterprise voice configurations, policies, and routing over a

complex WAN infrastructure (SBC, SIP, Media Gateways, VoIP, ISDN, PBX, Codecs, QoS), video and mobility.

  • Additional skills in coding/API, data center networks, Azure/AWS cloud services are a plus.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Tertiary qualifications in IT or related fields preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in service provider or large enterprise environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Expert-level support for VoIP telephony, video conferencing, instant messaging, and collaboration tools.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, minimizing disruption to business activities.
  • Proactively monitor UC infrastructure for performance, availability, and security.
  • Collaborate on designing, implementing, and upgrading UC solutions.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for knowledge sharing and training.
  • Participate in change management processes and stay updated on emerging technologies.
