We are seeking an experienced, dynamic self-starter to join our GreenCheck team. The Sustainability Data Analyst will ensure the development and delivery of quality-assured data and analytics for GreenCheck’s clients.

Key Deliverables:

  • Producing detailed and insightful dashboards using Power BI, DAX, SQL, and Power Query.
  • Calculate and analyze a wide range of building sustainability performance metrics (including energy, water, GHG, waste and recycling, etc.).
  • Leverage the GreenCheck software platform to collect, maintain, analyze, and deliver high-quality green building performance data on behalf of our clients.
  • Managing and maintaining large amounts of sustainability data across GreenCheck’s systems and databases.
  • Create and improve tools to summarize building performance and provide actionable advice through monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
  • Implement program-wide QA/QC measures to continuously assess and improve data quality and our assurance of the GreenCheck team and our clients.
  • Act as GreenCheck’s project liaison, supporting the continuous improvements of the internal processes and systems to support service delivery.
  • Implementing comprehensive data migration strategies, ensuring the seamless transfer of our reports and data between systems.
  • Support staff and clients through training on the use of the GreenCheck platform, GreenCheck’s methodologies, and key concepts.

Education, Skills, and Experience:

Required:

  • Post‐secondary degree in statistics, engineering, environmental science, or mathematics.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a data analytics role including business development and reporting large environmental data.
  • 1+ years’ experience within the sustainability industry working with environmental data and metrics including but not limited to GHG performance, energy/water/waste-use intensity, and physical climate scoring, among others.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Power BI functions such as analytics, data modeling and data mining, reporting, report conversions, and data cleansing.
  • Demonstrated experience in building reports and dashboards using Power BI using DAX formula expression language, Power Query and SQL.
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel, at an intermediate level including nested formulas, Visual Basic and developing macros.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of software development processes.
  • Certification: LEED GA or AP – Operations and Maintenance specialty, and/or Fitwel Ambassador, and/or AEE Certified Energy Manager or Energy Auditor
