Role Overview

This role will focus on delivering industry-leading sustainability data and reporting services for the real estate sector. It will involve system implementation and review, data collation and analysis, and the development of client-specific GHG emissions and sustainability reports, GRESB reporting, and other data related services. This role is suitable for a sustainability specialist who enjoys working with data analytics, using software, and finding solutions to improve processes and client reports. Savills Sustainability Consultancy team works to create a best-in-class service for our clients, and we pride ourselves on delivering high quality outputs.
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will act as a senior data analyst in the Sustainability Consultancy team, delivering data and reporting outputs to both internal and external clients. Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing the set-up of client accounts and property portfolios on the sustainability data platform.
  • Overseeing, collating and analysing data input and calculations for sustainability performance indicators, ensuring timely and accurate client reporting.
  • Producing sustainability performance data analysis, client presentations, and written reports to a high standard.
  • Assisting the provision of data and undertaking client reporting for GRESB, SECR, CDP, CSRD, EU Taxonomy, SBTi, CRREM, ISSB, and other reporting standards, benchmarks and frameworks.
  • Working with the team to develop bespoke client sustainability reports for internal management and/or external disclosures.

Key Skills

  • Strong analytical skills in handling data and producing reporting outputs, with a high level of competence in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create complex formulas.
  • Ability to validate and analyse large data sets for the production of reporting outputs in a timely and effective manner.
  • Strong attention to detail, producing work to a consistently high and accurate standard.
  • Proficient in process optimization, focusing on developing streamlined workflows and enhancing efficiency.
  • Customer-orientated, with the ability to be client facing; excellent communicator and presenter.
  • Ability to develop lasting and effective relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally.
  • Excellent time management, punctual and organised, capable of delivering work under pressure and meeting fixed deadlines.
  • Highly motivated individual with drive for self-development.
  • Resourceful team worker, with the ability to work autonomously in certain specialist fields.
  • Good English, grammar, spelling, and document checking skills.
  • Strong report writing skills with a focus on quality assurance.

Required

  • BSc/BA Degree in Sustainability, Data Science and Analytics, or equivalent.
  • At least 4 years’ experience within the Sustainability field.
  • Experience of working with sustainability/ESG data, systems and reporting.
  • Understanding of sustainability/ESG data, reporting and key sustainability standards and frameworks.
  • Completely IT literate with high level of competence in Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint.

Desired

  • Hands on experience of managing sustainability data platforms and/or implementation of these.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Previous exposure to software testing.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of or experience in the commercial property sector.
  • Technical knowledge of climate reporting standards and frameworks, such as GRESB, GHG Protocol, SECR, GRI, ISSB and CDP.

Team Overview
The Sustainability Consultancy team is based within the Property Management Division of the organisation and brings together around 30 sustainability professionals from varied backgrounds. We also work collaboratively alongside other energy and sustainability focussed teams within the business including; Sustainable Design, Engineering & Design Consultancy, Energy Consultancy, Energy Procurement, Environmental Economics and Research.
We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join our Sustainability Consultancy team, which sits within the Savills Earth umbrella, and is dedicated to inspiring and enabling our Clients to make a positive impact on our planet.
