Description:
Imperial Dade Canada, leading national distributor, has a job open in Montreal. The Senior System Business Analyst will engage with business leaders and users to understand how data-driven changes to processes, products, services, and software can improve efficiency and add value. They must articulate those ideas but also balance them against what’s technologically feasible and financially and functionally reasonable. The Senior System Business Analyst will also be responsible for creating new models that support business decisions by working closely with finance and IT teams to establish initiatives and strategies aimed at improving revenue and/or optimizing costs. Business analysts need a “strong understanding of regulatory and reporting requirements as well as plenty of experience in forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis combined with an understanding of key performance indicators,”. They will be tasked with prioritizing technical and functional requirements, identifying what business needs, and determining what is feasible to deliver. It requires a deep understanding of systems, how they function, who will need to be involved, and the necessary steps to get everyone on board.

Responsibilities
- Participate in:
- Improving existing business processes and systems within the Procure to Pay and Order to Cash.
- Identify through data analysis inefficiencies and opportunities within the company’s various operations.
- Develop solutions to inefficiencies and opportunities identified.
- ERP project.
- Support our business analysis practice by:
- Liaises and builds relationships with stakeholders to understand business issues, to manage requirements in line with business needs and to facilitate definition and delivery of coherent, appropriate solutions.
- Uses business analysis techniques to provide and present a holistic evidence base and supports its use to enable informed decision making by stakeholders.
- Takes accountability for the quality of the evidence base generated to support stakeholder decision-making.
- Maintains open communication channels with all stakeholders ensuring ongoing consistency of understanding regarding business needs, objectives, priorities, and requirements.
- Ability to perform difficult analytical tasks with little supervision.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Analytics, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5-7 years’ experience in a similar role, with strong system skills and business domain knowledge.
- Experience with ERP migration is a must.
- Experience of applying a broad range of techniques within the business analysis skillset to resolve business problems and clarify business requirements in a complex business environment with multiple stakeholders.
- Exposure to senior stakeholders and to strategic projects and programs.
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship skills.
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and complexity.
- Possesses a broad understanding of business and the significance of commercial constraints in a distribution environment.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel with the ability to model data and utilize advanced functions (Power Query, Pivot Tables, Graphs & Charts).
- Experience with M&A an asset.
- Experience with SQL, VBA, Python is an asset.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English required. Employee needs to be able to communicate with the head office, outside vendors, and suppliers etc.
