Description:
My client is looking for an experienced Senior ICT Systems Administrator to join their growing company.
The role is based in Brisbane, managing a small support desk in conjunction with providing higher level ICT support, planning, and implementation of projects.
The Senior ICT Systems Administrator will be responsible for the day to day operations of the IT infrastructure and support.
Responsibilities:
THIS ROLE COMES WITH A WIDE RANGE OF RESPONSIBILITIES SUCH AS:
- Ensure ICT systems and architecture is aligned with industry best practices. Configure and secure internal systems and software.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues as they arise.
- Supervise the Help Desk team to ensure maximum efficiency and SLAs are met. Upgrade the server & network infrastructure.
- Configure and maintain servers, devices, and firewalls.
- Monitor the performance of servers, software, and networking hardware. Provide support to ICT projects within the organization.
- Ensure technical documentation and network plans are up to date. Integrate new technologies into the organization.
- Improve security across the network and wider infrastructure including cloud?based providers (Office365 & AWS).
- Ensure onsite and offsite backups are completed.
- Deliver an effective & efficient solution to organizational requirements where required.
- Work effectively with the Help Desk team to ensure all ICT hardware is tracked and properly allocated.
TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related information technology field Work
- 4 + years’ experience working as a Senior System Administrator
- Proven experience in managing ICT projects.
- Critical thinking and problem?solving skills Ability to lead a team to meet deliverables. Good time?management skills
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
