Description:
BCIT Information Technology Services Department is seeking a regular, full-time (1.0 FTE) Senior Systems Analyst: Identity & Access Management Developer.Working as a member of our Identity and Access Management Team, you will support and communicate with internal and external stakeholders, support and mentor team members in order to develop and maintain a best-in-class Identity Management system for BCIT. This position is pivotal in ensuring the security and efficiency of our digital systems by managing user access and identity governance processes. The successful candidate will have a strong background in identity and access management, with specific experience in the SailPoint IdentityIQ (IIQ) platform and other core IAM technologies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A minimum of six (6) years current experience in an IT environment similar to BCIT
- 3+ years of experience in identity and access management, with a focus on IAM technologies such as SailPoint IdentityIQ (IIQ).
- Proficiency in configuring and administering IAM solutions, including user provisioning, role-based access control, and single sign-on.
- Strong understanding of identity governance principles and practices.
- Experience with identity lifecycle management, access certification, and privilege management.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Identity and Access Manager (CIAM) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) are a plus.
- Three or more recent years of experience with Java (or BeanShell) development which will be used in our SailPoint IdentityIQ instances.
- A solid understanding of directories including Active Directory, Azure Active Directory and AD LDS would be a benefit to this role.
- Knowledge of security concepts and systems, specifically around identity management and account creation/maintenance would be an asset in order to collaborate with the security team.
- In addition to Java and BeanShell, experience with any of the following programming languages would be seen as beneficial: JavaScript, JSP/Servlets, and PowerShell scripting.
- Experience with business requirement, design, and documentation of IAM products would be an asset.
- Experience working with internal and external stakeholders and vendors is required.
Responsibilities:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and administer the SailPoint IdentityIQ (IIQ) platform, including configuration, customization, and maintenance.
- Develop and implement access control policies and procedures to safeguard BCIT’s digital assets.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into IAM solutions.
- Conduct access reviews and audits to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for IAM-related issues, including user provisioning, authentication, and authorization.
- Stay informed about emerging trends and best practices in identity and access management and recommend improvements to BCIT’s IAM infrastructure.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to enhance BCIT’s overall cybersecurity posture.
- Clear and concise communications to internal and external stakeholders about the implementation at the technical and/or functional levels.
- Developing use cases for testing, debugging, support, and maintenance of IAM platform.
- Meeting with various stakeholders for requirements, customizations, functionality, and service road maps will be part of the regular duties for this role.
- Familiar with a DevOps workflow.
- Preparing technical and user documentation.
- Other duties as may be assigned.
