Lewis Roca is a top ranked Am Law 200 commercial law firm and one of the largest in the Western United States. We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join our team in Phoenix, AZ!
SUMMARY:
The Senior Systems Engineer - Applications is an exempt position, that under the supervision of the IT Applications Manager, designs, implements, and maintains the company’s desktop image & enterprise applications. This individual will work independently as a technical leader, as well as a senior member of a team of engineers, in a project-oriented environment providing solutions for complex technical problems. They will serve as an escalation point for issues requiring a high degree of technical skill and knowledge.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- 7+ years work experience in a technical environment or in an equivalent position.
- 5+ years of experience with SCCM / MECM, desktop engineering, application deployments, and scripting.
- Extensive knowledge of desktop operating systems, applications, and hardware.
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft platforms, including Windows Server, Active Directory, ADFS, Teams, Sharepoint, Intune, One Drive and Office.
- Experience architecting and developing enterprise legal applications such as iManage and Intapp.
- Experience architecting and developing hybrid cloud platforms, including Azure, AWS and/or GCP.
- Experience architecting and developing Exchange on-premise and O365 environments.
- Microsoft certifications a plus.

Responsibilities:
The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required. Other duties may be assigned.
- Design, implement and maintain the firm’s array of enterprise application services with a focus on health and performance, availability, integrity, and security.
- Be a subject matter expert in Microsoft’s suite of Office and Office 365 products, as well as Microsoft Hybrid Cloud technologies to ensure the Firm is well-positioned in the marketplace.
- Work with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) to create and deploy software images and updates.
- Automate application updates & deployments using scripting languages and tools such as PowerShell, Visual Basic or MECM.
- Provide recommendations for latest desktop operating systems, applications, and hardware.
- Participate in projects to improve enterprise legal applications such iManage & Intapp.
- Research, evaluate, implement, and configure other legal software applications.
- Respond to requests from end users, the Service Desk, and other team members for advanced technical support.
- Schedule installations and upgrades in accordance with established IT policies & procedures.
- Drive automation of standard operating procedures for continuous improvement.
- Create and maintain a comprehensive hardware and software configuration database/library of all supporting documentation and diagrams.
- Communicate through email, phone, video conference, in person, group meetings, presentations, etc. to end users, management, and vendors.
- Participate in the IT Change Control process.
- Ensure administrative activities are performed in a timely manner and with an appropriate level of quality.
- May be required to work after hours and weekends as needed.
- Some travel may be required.
- Some duties require in-office presence.
