Description:
JOB SUMMARY:
In Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) we integrate, verify, and validate our products. We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time. To accomplish this, we develop plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, develop test environments, and work hand-in-hand with our customers.
We are seeking a Senior Systems Integration and Test Engineer to join our Engineering team in Aurora, Colorado. In this role, you will support a cross-disciplinary team of system and software engineers who are leading the industry in ground systems solutions. As an SI&T Engineer, you will assist in the documentation and definition of all Test and Integration events. The SI&T Engineer must have a clear understanding of all test related requirements, interfaces, and test results. The successful candidate will have the ability to track and gather artifacts and analyze results.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of five (5) years of prior relevant experience.
- Satellite mission management (planning and scheduling) experience
- Experience with systems and requirements in a test environment: requirements analysis, developing associated documentation for integration and verification (plans, procedures, and reports), and supporting integration and verification execution events.
- Experience with integrating and testing software in a Linux OS environment, using the Atlassian Suite of tools (Confluence and Jira) for collaboration and project/issue tracking
- Experience engaging with and presenting to technical and programmatic leadership
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Systems Engineering experience on a large government program, with preference for ground systems solutions programs
- Experience integrating and testing software in a Linux OS environment using tools such as Git and Eclipse/IntelliJ
- Experience with containers and pipeline, and associated tools (Kubernetes, Docker) and well as experience using PostgreSQL
- Experience with manual testing techniques including writing new procedures from scratch and maintaining/updating legacy test procedures
- Experience with automation testing tool suites such as Cucumber and Python Behave as well as developing integration and test scripts/software
- Self-starter who can work independently with minimal direction
Responsibilities:
RESPONSIBILITIES TO ANTICIPATE:
This role includes but is not limited to:
- Supporting the SI&T team in an Agile, DevSecOps environment:
- Support to overall test strategy, including plan and procedure development
- Integrating software and hardware
- Troubleshooting and debugging issues
- Development of automated test scripts and their execution
- Generation, review, maintenance, and management of documentation
- Conducting performance analysis, risk analysis, and trade studies
- Independently prioritize and manage day-to-day objectives to achieve programmatic goals and milestones within budget and schedule
- Attends technical interchange meetings with the team members and other program personnel and represents the organization in matters pertaining to the development of one’s own project.
- Preparation and conduct of program reviews
- Collaborating across functions in support of successful program execution
- Participate in frequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts. Represents the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects, including architecture and design.
