Upvest, founded in 2017, enables any financial institution to offer great investment experiences to its customers. Upvest is an investment firm regulated by the German supervision authority (BaFin). The company currently employs 150+ people across Europe with its headquarters based in Berlin, Germany.
The company is backed by the world’s largest venture capital funds and investors including Bessemer Venture Partners, BlackRock, Earlybird, HV Capital, Notion Capital, and Motive Ventures, as well as by renowned fintech entrepreneurs, including Maximilian Tayenthal, founder of N26, and Felix Haas, founder of IDnow.
We’re looking for fintech enthusiasts to join us in creating the financial infrastructure of tomorrow. We’re building the first European Investment API to enable any financial institution offering a wide range of efficient and transparent investment products, such as stocks and ETFs in nominal, portfolio, and fractional form. Our mission and vision is to make investing as easy as spending money.
We’re based in Berlin and we are considering Berlin based candidates for this role.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • You bring along 5+ years of recruiting and sourcing experience, preferably in an international, dynamic start up environment.
  • You possess a strong ability to assess and evaluate candidate profiles to ensure alignment with job requirements, company culture, and values.
  • You have extensive experience working with Engineering/tech roles as well as other departments such as Product, Sales, Marketing, Finance and Banking.
  • You can easily navigate ATS platforms (we use TeamTailor) and sourcing tools (such as LinkedIn Recruiter);
  • You are a data driven individual who relies on data analysis and metrics in order to optimise recruitment and decision- making processes.
  • You have a Headhunter mindset, can easily source, find and excite the passive talent, rather than fully relying on inbound applications.
  • You possess exceptional communication skills and it’s easy for you to connect with candidates and assess their fit for a position.
  • Even if roles are sometimes complex: you stay on track and always find new creative ways to expand the candidate pool. Together with your colleagues, you brainstorm regularly, helping each other out.
  • You are enthusiastic about Upvest’s mission: to make investing as easy as spending money.
  • You have outstanding English and German speaking and writing skills (at least C1for German, if not native)

Responsibilities:

  • Take responsibility for the recruitment lifecycle attracting the best talent for various departments focusing mainly on Engineering, i.e.our software developers, who are the largest team at Upvest.
  • You feel comfortable working with a variety of stakeholders and understand how to build consensus to create the best hiring process and candidate experience.
  • You act as a business partner for the entire hiring team playing a key role ensuring that the right hiring decisions are made.
  • Partner with multiple hiring managers and other resources to identify, engage, evaluate, and recruit talents.
  • In addition to recruitment, you will have the opportunity to take part in a range of exciting projects, covering DEIB topics, employer branding activities, etc.
