Job Description

  • Provide support and work with third party advisers with respect to Australian corporate income tax compliance, including transfer pricing.
  • Review the monthly BAS.
  • Monitor PAYG instalments.
  • Calculate and arrange payment of withholding tax.
  • Prepare the Tax Effect Accounting for the Australian entities’ Annual Reports.
  • Support the global tax provision process as it relates to the group’s Australian entities.
  • Maintain the Tax Fixed Asset Register.
  • Prepare State Mineral Royalty calculations.
  • Assist in responding to information requests from the ATO and WA state authorities.
  • Reviewing and addressing internal tax inquiries related to indirect taxes, especially GST.
  • Preparing quarterly segmented P&L files in support of Albemarle’s Transfer Pricing monitoring process.
  • Maintaining data and supporting documentation for intercompany prices from Australia.
  • Working with third party advisers to document and develop tax governance and tax control frameworks specifically for Australia.
  • Partnering with personnel in other corporate functions and global business units to achieve Corporate Tax Department and company goals and objectives.
  • Support maintaining up to date knowledge on tax legislative and regulatory changes.
  • Supporting special projects.
