DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- 6+ years of public accounting experience, Top 10 is highly preferred
- Revenue recognition (experience with ASC 606 adoption)
- Knowledge of ASC 606 and ability help our clients understand achievability of revenue forecasts
- Equity (stock based compensation, preferred stock, EPS, warrants, etc.)
- Consolidations (experience in consolidating multiple trial balances in various functional currencies)
- Lease accounting (experience with ASC 842 adoption)
- Debt issuances and debt modifications
- Experience writing technical accounting memos
- Experience managing US GAAP audits
- Drafting private company financial statements with full footnote disclosures
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- CPA or CFA is required

Responsibilities:
ROLE OVERVIEW
The Senior Technical Associate (Part-Time, Contract) assists in the ongoing monitoring and interpretation of new GAAP, and keeps informed of pending industry changes, trends, and best practices. Using their expertise, the Associate assesses the potential impact of these changes, drafts memos, and prepares position papers on the impact to client companies. The position offers support and training to accounting team members to implement new standards, policies and regulations within client companies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Drafting private company financial statements and disclosures
- Research and draft technical memoranda and accounting policies
- Implementation of ASC 606 revenue standard
- Implementation of ASC 842 lease standard
- Implementation of Stock Based Compensation standards
- Implementation of Equity Standards- stock compensation and warrant accounting
- Understand technical accounting, FASB, and SEC rules and regulations
- Global accounting activities including foreign currency and consolidations
- Managing a client’s audit process and preparing audit support
