Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our client is a leading Medical Supplier in Australia and New Zealand, distributing a diverse range of products. Strong data quality is fundamental for their success, as it impacts decision-making, reputation, efficiency, compliance, customer relationships and cost management.
The purpose of this role is to be a key player in our client’s South Pacific Data Management and Governance Team.
We are seeking someone who has the ability to drive outcomes and initiatives and influence stakeholders. Our client is wanting to bridge the gap between IT and the wider business.

KEY ROLE OUTCOMES

  • Increasing business success through driving the goals of Data Management and Governance of the Customer, Supplier and Employee Domains, and Business Data.
  • Being responsible for the strategy to define how data integrity is upheld ensuring it is controlled and measured.
  • Ensuring issues are raised to leadership and are addressed, promoting data ownership across the business.
  • Defining how transactional data integrity is upheld ensuring data integrity is tracked and inventory integrity is well controlled.
  • Ensuring a high standard of quality, controls and processes through individuals clearly understanding their role in stewardship, and ownership of data and driving that accountability

KEY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Executing on the data strategy aligned with organisational goals and objectives, including determining critical data elements and prioritising accordingly, driving data ownership, a process for escalation and prioritisation and setting & enforcing standards.
  • Implementing a data quality methodology i.e. a method to assess data quality, with criticality in mind, implementing and driving strong data quality metrics.
  • Creating and maintaining tools to demonstrate that data quality is meeting requirements. Develop and maintain data dashboards and reports to monitor data quality, governance, and compliance metrics, providing regular updates to senior leadership.
  • Overseeing data quality initiatives, including data profiling for criticality, cleansing, and enrichment, to maintain high-quality data across all systems and databases.
  • Working with data stewards to ensure correction of data.
  • Ensuring robust approval process for new Customer and Employee records, acting as a step in the approval process.
  • Monitoring Transportation Management Master Data set up and ensuring completeness.
  • Monitor Starters, Leavers, Changes process ensuring Job Functions, JDE Employee Account, Rep Allocations and Territories for Order Acknowledgements are managed. Make sure ownership of Starters, Leavers and Changes is well documented and understood.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders across various departments to understand their data needs and ensure data is leveraged effectively to support decision-making and business processes.
  • Driving data meeting ownership and attendance.
  • Working with the Business Controls Team to define and establish policies and procedures for the overall transactional and inventory integrity management to ensure all auditing requirements are met.
  • Identifying and leveraging opportunities to continually improve the quality of inventory management looking at processes and standards with reporting as necessary.
  • Staying up to date with data regulations and ensure the organisation’s data practices comply with legal and industry-specific requirements.
