Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Technical Claims Advisor specialising in Financial Lines and Liability. This role is based in the vibrant heart of Auckland CBD, offering a competitive salary range between $120,000-$140,000. Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
As a Senior Technical Claims Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in delivering superior claims service. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include interpreting basic policy coverages, determining if coverages apply to claims submitted, setting reserves, authorising payment within scope of authority, settling claims in the most cost-effective manner and ensuring timely issuance of disbursements. You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior staff as required.
- Maintain current knowledge of insurance guidelines and policy changes and modifications
- Identify any issues and/or anomalies that are non-compliant with regards to policy and procedures and resolve and/or escalate where required
- Maintain good client relationships with the insured, agents, service providers and the general public
- Respond to client requests in accordance with service standards
- Provide information and feedback on claims activity and developing trends to underwriters/risk assessors to enable appropriate actions to be carried out
- Receiving, recording and processing all incoming insurance claims for assigned area
The ideal candidate for this Senior Technical Claims Advisor role will bring a wealth of experience from the insurance sector. With at least three years’ experience under your belt, you’ll have developed strong organisational and communication skills. Your analytical thinking will aid you in interpreting policy coverages while your negotiation skills will ensure claims are settled in the most cost-effective manner. A fundamental understanding of the insurance industry and claims processes is essential for this role.
