Description:

JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Technical Implementation Consultant understands both business administration and information technology with a primary focus on the effective implementation and operation of information technology systems and support across the organization. The Senior Technical Implementation Consultant consults with stakeholders to gather and define requirements to configure new systems and enhance existing systems; write and execute test plans; troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues; deliver training and guidance to end users and system/service owners.

  • Research, design, and implement new systems/upgrades that support business goals. This position will be heavily involved in the development of custom software and extensions to improve business processes.
  • Communicate with Executive and Management teams to strategize on design and implementation of business systems.
  • Generation of custom complex system reports, data analysis and quality control, and use of business intelligence tools to support business decision making.
  • Solid background in field of generating Power BI reports and dashboards, Business Central financials, service modules, Microsoft CRM, SQL, and Business Central ERP, Oracle/SAP/Dynamic Navigators.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for a complex business system.
  • Examine new systems for improvement, report common issues, evaluate performance, and recommend new system procedures.
  • Maintain records of system integrations, changes, and incidents.
  • Develop appropriate training materials and assist business areas with new system use.
  • Analyzing all aspects of existing business practices and policies.
  • Collaborate with various subject-matter experts to assess solution needs and identify desired outcomes.
  • Stay informed on new or emerging trends and technologies that provide benefits to the organization, business partners, and / or customers.
  • Collect user feedback regarding system performance and work with team to prioritize configuration requests.
  • Liaise with vendors and service providers to ensure cost-effective acquisition of and ongoing support and maintenance of systems.
  • Other related duties as required or assigned.

OTHER KEY SKILLS (OR PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE)

  • Knowledge of various information technology systems
  • Experience with transportation or fuel systems is an asset.
  • Working experience with Sage or similar financial ERP platforms is considered an asset.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and e-mail required.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Extensive understanding of programming languages and operating systems like C++, Java, Linux, HTML, Oracle, Pascal, and Delphi.

EDUCATION

Post-Secondary Degree in Information Technology or related field preferred.
Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP) is an asset.
