Our opportunity
As Senior Technical Manager, Product Quality & Standards – Development, you will champion and elevate Mirvac’s brand and reputation and be the driving force behind our commitment to excellence including building a culture of quality. Support and guide project teams in adopting best practices including aligning with national quality standards while balancing customer, market, and feasibility objectives across all asset classes.
In this role you will have responsibility for providing advice for Nationally, including specific State requirements.
Examples of your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Own the VIC/QLD Legislation Matrix including periodic updates as required
Support project teams with internal/external audits (e.g.D&BP)
Attend fortnightly post completion meetings and facilitate close out of issues with Mirvac legal.
Review ongoing budget for state-based post completion (e.g forecasting, tracking, cash flow, reporting) to NM.
Work closely with the Design & Construction and Technical Engineers to review project briefs and proposals and other matters to ensure compliance with the national quality agenda
Resolve disputes between MDES, MCPL and MDEV relating to product quality or standards
Assess running list submissions related to product quality & standards and provide advice to SDM
Review and advise on VO risks & opportunities at project workshops (when required)
Assist team achieve D&BP Act compliance including support on regulated design guidance compliance.
Provide advice and assistance to New Business (where required)
Attend design workshops as required (including DOOR reviews)
Your point of difference
To be successful you will have appropriate professional qualifications and demonstrated experience in high quality multi storey residential apartments, build to rent, commercial mixed use and/or industrial.
You will have demonstrated experience of the Property Industry including the application of government legislation and statutory design standards (NCC/Australian Standards etc); coupled with legal, insurance, financial, approval (DA & CC Sec 4.55 etc), planning and environmental aspects of planning.
You will work collaboratively within the Development division and across Mirvac Group, sharing learnings with employees and leveraging their experience. To be effective you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a passion for process improvement and continuous improvement.
