HC FORWARD

HC Forward is a dedicated strategy and innovation capability within Deloitte’s Human Capital Offering Portfolio. Within HC Forward, the Business Strategy & Growth team works as a sort of internal strategy consultancy, with a mandate to drive the growth of the Human Capital business, set and execute strategy, and drive innovation initiatives. We organize our efforts into market-oriented portfolios, overseen by a Portfolio Owner and supported by a team of specialists. We are looking for a Portfolio Management Specialist to join the Business Strategy & Growth team to take ownership of key strategy, innovation, and day-to-day portfolio management activities within an existing strategic portfolio and help foster growth impact, market expansion, product development, and stakeholder relationships across Human Capital. In doing so, this person will be an integral member of a dynamic, fast-moving team in a highly supportive and startup-like environment and will have the opportunity to build skills and relationships related to strategy, innovation, technology, professional services, and more.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 4+ years of experience in Cloud HCM systems
  • 4+ years of experience in identifying portfolio Key Performance Indicators and supporting cyclical performance reporting
  • 4+ years of experience in Program Management across complex and diverse workstreams
  • 4+ years of experience in managing technology assets
  • Ability to travel 0-25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.

Responsibilities:

This role supports our HC Forward team on day-to-day project management and execution activities. The right candidate will develop relationships and help drive business and technology innovation initiatives as well as technology asset adoption throughout the Human Capital Offering Portfolio. Areas of responsibility will include:

  • Developing detailed project plans with all stakeholders to ensure integration across complex interconnected programs.
  • Maintaining and administering project management and agile tracking systems.
  • Developing resource and financial plans aligned with business strategy.
  • Maintaining and communicating Portfolio KPIs and supporting cyclical performance reporting processes (Quarterly Business Reviews, Portfolio Strategy Reviews).
  • Demonstrating ability to develop roadmaps and independently manage backlog.
  • Demonstrating strong ability to independently break down epics and features into user stories and ability to conduct estimation and resource planning with some guidance and oversight.
  • Owning and driving undefined tasks with interdependencies.
  • Exhibiting foresight in escalating and addressing program risks.
  • Demonstrating critical thinking in business context applicable to various technical programs.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally to influence and align senior leaders and peers.
  • Acquiring subject matter expertise in assigned functional and technical scope (i.e., Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI; HCM technology providers).
  • Bringing experience with Cloud HCM systems to advise leaders on decision making.
  • Leveraging experience developing business cases for technology investments to drive business case development.
  • Developing and managing investment KPIs
  • Creating organization and structure that enables senior business leaders to make informed decision making.
  • Managing senior stakeholders and enabling them to prioritize effectively.
