We are looking for a Senior Technical Support Analyst to play an essential part of our team in second-level technical support, documenting processes, project planning, testing, and ensuring the reliability of our critical systems, operating 24x7.

Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • Provide second-level support for Banking, Clearing and Risk systems
  • Opportunity to work on other Derivatives Clearing systems within Investment Banking.
  • Complete maintenance tasks, compile monthly reporting and participate in annual BCP testing.
  • Create and maintain system monitors and alerts using system watchdogs and scripting.
  • Participate in non-functional testing required by projects and software releases.
  • Adhere to Investment Banking Change Management procedures when implementing software releases.
  • Maintain technical documentation required by the team for operational support.
  • Install and configure systems/environments supported within the team.
  • Establish and work on CI/CD pipelines for the project.
  • Perform weekend work on-site (in the office) and off-site (remotely) for upgrades, testing, and critical activities that cannot be scheduled during weekdays.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:

  • 5+ years of experience supporting critical applications.
  • Excellent knowledge of data handling (Oracle or SQL) with SQL scripting skills.
  • Strong expertise in Linux/UNIX OS, including RHEL, and Windows Servers.
  • Proficient technical skills in Linux and Windows products, including RHEL and Windows Servers.
  • Securities industry experience with an understanding of exchange-traded futures and options, derivatives markets, and clearing business processes.
  • Ability to maintain technical documentation for operational support.
  • Programming and scripting skills with Cron, Powershell, Perl, or Python.
  • Technical experience in distributed transactions, high availability, and performance-critical systems.
  • Understanding of TCP/IP networks for diagnosing connectivity issues.
  • Exposure to financial industry standards, practices, and procedures.
