ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

An excellent client of ours, a well-established software company headquartered in Kanata, is looking for a Senior Technical Writer (DevOps/Deployment) to join one of their thriving R&D groups. Reporting to the Software Development Manager, this individual will liaise with both Engineering and Operations with the ambition of improving technical documentation within the software deployments and DevOps domain.
This is a permanent position with one of the region’s top employers. Although this company is known for their socially-relevant product/technology and progressive culture/work-life balance, they also offer a comprehensive perks package in addition to salary. As this software company has recently implemented a hybrid work model, only candidates local to the Ottawa/NCR will be considered.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Create, validate, and maintain comprehensive engineering documentation such as deployment and troubleshooting guides, system manuals, upgrade procedures, etc.
  • Constant collaboration between Engineering, Operations, and Support groups in order to gather information and ensure accuracy of validation
  • Continual evaluation into current documentation processes across the Engineering group as well as research into emerging trends and documentation methodologies/functions

Responsibilities:
