THE OPPORTUNITY:
We are seeking a Senior Technology Engineer to join our high-performing talented team. You will be self-motivated, with a high level of analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail. You will be able to think laterally and challenge ideas and possess a ‘creative’ flair for solution development, whilst relating effectively to a broad audience.
Responsibilities:
YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Leading the technical contribution to the 3-year strategic roadmap for cloud integration and windows services in line with SME responsibilities in both cloud and on-premises locations
- Plan and monitor for software and hardware end-of-life replacement, capacity constraints, and cyber security vulnerabilities and construct remediation plans to mitigate risks.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses and recommend appropriate remedial actions.
- Contributing to, and implementing baseline policies, procedures, and documentation in support of the Windows and Cloud environments
- Analyse existing infrastructure and provide solutions for cloud uplifts/upgrades.
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate security measures into system designs and architectures.
- Implement and configure firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other security tools to safeguard network infrastructure.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL HAVE:
- 6+ years of experience in an enterprise operational IT environment focusing on at least one of the following:
- Azure DevOps pipelines and a deep understanding of various security and network requirements in Hybrid cloud environments, including MS Defender
- MEM\Intune, leading app packaging standards, SOE specification and build (both server and desktop), Azure hybrid joined devices, mobile device management.
- 6+ years of experience supporting complementary Wintel environments (On-Premises and Cloud) including, M365, Intune\MEM, VMWare, Backup Infrastructure (Veeam), Exchange On-line, core MS Infrastructure (AD, AAD, DNS, Group Policy)
- 6+ years of experience in designing and documenting Windows-based infrastructure and Azure Cloud environments
- Extensive PowerShell scripting, experience in Azure cloud security, Azure networking, and Azure storage highly regarded.
- Relevant vendor qualifications highly regarded.
- Expert knowledge of technical concepts, configurations, and products
