The Bureau’s Data & Digital Group (DDG) has recently formed the Enterprise Test Capability which is actively maturing the Testing discipline across the organisation through the establishment of consistent test frameworks and governance.
We are seeking a motivated Senior Test Analyst to join the Enterprise Test Capability. Reporting to the Enterprise Test Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for leading testing outcomes for across the Bureau’s flexible weather forecasting system – known as the Graphical Forecast Editor (GFE). The successful candidate may also support the Enterprise Test Capability improve testing maturity and drive testing outcomes across the organisation.
The candidate may be required to obtain (at Bureau expense) a baseline security clearance.
Ideally you will have extensive experience working in test landscapes that include integrated meteorological systems. You will join an established team working across the Graphical Forecast Editor, a mission critical legacy system which is used to support the Bureau’s operational forecasting value chain. You will need to be skilled in reviewing requirements, preparing, and executing test cases, reporting defects, and preparing test reports, as well as contributing to release planning, deployment, and operational support. There may be some opportunities for software development. Good communication skills, ability to work well as part of a team and excellent attention to detail are all important for this role. This will be a very hands-on role working in a highly technical meteorological environment.
