  • Be a responsible role model by adhering to company policies and employment laws, and ensure relevant HR procedures are applied (including Safety, Wellness and Health, Workplace Behaviour and Performance Improvement frameworks)
  • Pair with Test Analyst to help develop and enable ongoing capability improvements.
  • Pair with Test Analyst on test planning, estimations, and test coverage
  • Collaboration with Test Analysts, and Business SMEs to build regression suite
  • Pair with Automation Analyst and help support the automation of regression suites.
  • Stakeholder Engagement - Active participation and representation of testing requirements.
  • Provide out of hours support during Production Testing
  • Advocate for quality and continuous improvements across testing and delivery.

Role Accountabilities

  • Represent testing and contribute to all Flow Delivery workshops (eg. concept, planning, estimation)
  • Collaborate with Test Analyst, Developers, SM, POs, BAs, and Business SMEs from concept to delivery.
  • Collaborate and pair with all members of the E2E team to define and break down Acceptance Criteria.
  • Collaborate and pair with members of the E2E team to produce test estimates, assumptions, dependencies, and risks for each initiative.
  • Collaborate and Pair with Test leads, and test analysts to produce a comprehensive test coverage and traceability matrix.
  • Produced Test Plan/Test Strategy for project within own team, as well as projects with multiple application dependencies.
  • Can support the test lead in coordinating and facilitating test planning across multiple teams.
  • Good understanding of Functional and Non Functional quality attributes
  • Understanding the requirement and breaking them down into individual actions and tasks for delivery
  • Upskilling and Learning the associated business rules, guidelines, and applications
  • Plan and Design Test cases to ensure that requirements are met, ensuring test coverage takes into consideration positive, negative, and regression impacts.

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Participate proactively in all sprint ceremonies: daily stand ups; story grooming; team retrospectives; showcases, workshops and planning sessions;
  • Suggest and implement product and process improvements;
  • Work with Product Owners to define Acceptance Criteria and the Definition of Done and ensure that they are met in the testing space;
  • Work with End To End Team in elaborating stories and providing estimates;
  • Create and execute test cases raising defects in the approved manner;
  • Peer review test cases of other testers;
  • Provide mentoring and support to less experienced testers;
  • Keep Test Lead appraised of progress, risks and issues in sprint work and project planning and document accordingly;Participate in pre deployment testing and rostered overnight deployments as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

· Experience in testing in an Agile environment (including System, Integration, Acceptance, Usability testing);
· Experience in preparing test artefacts (including test plans, test designs, test cases, test executions, defects);
· Analytical, with attention to detail and problem-solving skills;
· Ability to work in a structured manner in line with documented procedures;
· Proven ability to work in a small team with a shared goal, being able to use your time management skills to multi-task in a fast-paced dynamic environment;
· Willingness to take ownership of issues arising;
· Experience of using Jira / Confluence
· Working knowledge of common application software, e.g. MS Office suite / Google Suite;
· High level of IT literacy and demonstrated ability to learn new systems;
· Understanding of the types and value of automation in a blended environment;
One of the following qualifications would be highly regarded, but not essential:
· Testing Qualification (e.g. ISTQB) preferred;
· Agile Qualification preferred;
· Tertiary qualifications in IT or business-related discipline;
· Experience of using recognised test management tools or Jira test management Add-ins;
· Experience and understanding of device testing using physical and virtual devices;

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The newly created role in our application support team will be responsible for the following:
