Located in Gunn, Alberta, the Lakeview Recovery Community supports men living with addiction on their journey to a sustainable recovery. We deliver a full continuum of addiction recovery support in a community environment, focusing on healing and personal growth. Our goal is that individuals leave Lakeview with the life skills, tools, and resources to maintain long-term wellness and sustain recovery and having nurtured healthy relationships with friends and family.
Reporting to the Program Director, the highly experienced and compassionate Senior Therapeutic Team Lead will oversee and enhance our therapeutic programs and services. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leadership in an addiction recovery setting, along with a deep understanding of therapeutic modalities and client care. The Senior Therapeutic Team Lead will manage a multidisciplinary team, ensuring the delivery of exceptional care and support to our clients.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in an addiction recovery setting, with at least 5 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Demonstrated knowledge of a wide range of therapeutic modalities and interventions, especially those relevant to addiction.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to the principles of recovery and holistic health.
- Proven experience in crisis de-escalation and management.
- Successfully complete and pass a Vulnerable Persons Criminal Record Check prior to initiating employment and annually thereafter.
- Clearance to be on premises by the Director of Security.

Responsibilities:
- Lead, supervise, and evaluate the therapeutic team, fostering a collaborative, professional, and supportive work environment.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve therapeutic programs and services, ensuring they meet the highest standards of care and are aligned with best practices in addiction recovery.
- Ensure program compliance with the Recovery Communities Provincial Manual
- Conduct regular training sessions for staff.
- Work closely with the Program Director and other department heads to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to patient care.
- Participate in the development of individualized recovery plans and risk management plans, offering expert insights and guidance to ensure they are comprehensive and tailored to meet the unique needs of each client.
- Monitor and ensure the quality of patient care, intervening as necessary to address concerns or enhance the therapeutic experience.
- Deliver client feedback forums to ensure needs of individuals and the community are being addressed
- Provide direct clinical services to clients as needed, including assessment, therapy, and crisis intervention.
- Act as a liaison between the therapeutic team and other stakeholders, including family members, referring professionals, and community resources.
- Contribute to the broader community’s understanding of addiction and recovery through outreach, education, and advocacy efforts.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, provincial, and local regulations, as well as accreditation standards.
